The companies Iberdrola (i-DE), ADIF, Deloitte, Huawei and B5tec participated in the Workshop "Urban networks and microgrids" held at IMDEA Energía on 29 September 2022, and the results of our PROMINT project were presented.

This workshop addressed the main challenges of the development of urban electricity grids and the decarbonisation of railway networks, as well as the opportunities provided by the integration of renewables into energy markets and the development of technical solutions: power electronics converters, storage systems and management algorithms. Finally, attendees were able to visit and see a demonstration of real-time power grid control algorithms in the Smart Energy Integration Lab.
