Researchers of the PROMINT project awarded by the Campus of International Excellence "Intelligent Energy"

On 17 December, the prizes awarded by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and the Universidad de Alcalá in the field of the Campus of International Excellence 'Intelligent Energy' were presented. The awards have five categories and aim to support, promote and encourage research in the field of 'Intelligent Energy', whose basic pillars are 'Clean Energy Technologies' and 'Smart Cities'.

Researchers participating in the PROMINT project have received the following awards in two different categories:

  • CEI AWARD in category 1 of Collaborative Research Projects

“Design and implementation of a Virtual Power Plant for intelligent management of distributed photovoltaic energy sources in the traditional electricity grid”.

Researchers: Francisco Javier Rodríguez Sánchez, PROMINT co-ordinator and GEISER principal investigator (Universidad de Alcalá) y Joaquín Vaquero López, head of LABTEL REDLAB-149 laboratory (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos).  

  • CEI AWARD  in category 5 for Best Patent

“Dispositivo y sistema de control de cargas en redes eléctricas”.
